I realised that what I wanted was based on exaggerated hopes
So now I exist
Only because there is still purpose in me being here
My own purpose has expired
My desires negated
My expectations extinguished
But I have no right to take my life
Because others have rights over me
So dutifully, I must submit to their expectations
But I resolve to subdue my own
For selfishness is not a right I have earned
But selflessness is demanded
So in eager anticipation of death
I cease to live
