I yearn for serenity

I yearn for peace

but it seems it’s more than I can hope to achieve

don’t think me morbid

nor defeatist

since I’ve been through this cycle probably more than thee

so I dare not hope

and I dare not desire

because all that does

is raise fate’s ire
