It would be silly for you to think that I think you're victim blaming simply because you disagree with the "Atheist world view" since there is no such thing as a blanket Atheist world view. It is entirely something you've made up in your mind. This is the extent I am willing to engage you. To tell you that you're being contradictory in saying you don't support Muslim extremists yet invent ways to justify them perpetuating their behavior, that's all I really intend to point out.
In that case, thank you for your effort in trying to point that out. We’ll have to agree to disagree, because you’re simply wrong about me or what views I hold about extremist behaviour on either side of the divide.

Perhaps if you weren't worried about people "misconstruing" your words, as you see it, you shouldn't try to say things trying to blame the victim of an attack or imply that they "deserve" it or "knew" something would happen. That is making excuses, so despite your statement that you do not condone it, you still enter in excuses for it, which is contradictory.
To be honest, this is tedious. Either engage, or don’t. But these halfhearted attempts at trying to convince me that I’m supporting unjustified violence simply because I choose to present a balanced view on the issue is really of no consequence at all. Especially if the entire basis of your argument is simply because it disagrees with the atheist way of viewing it. So much for freedom of expression.

The creators of this misguided website write, “Unfortunately, people of one faith try to use the holy text of another faith to ridicule that faith or show its abominations by pointing to a particular text, often entirely out of context or misquoted.” Their laughably unscientific, interactive infographic attempts to solve that problem by taking verses entirely out of context and misquoting them. That is, they’ve run a word frequency comparison on the woefully out-of-date King James Bible and an English translation of the Quran. I’m actually not bothered by the fact that they’re using translations to find thematic similarities. Of course there will be similarities! Islam is a Christian heresy! The Quran is basically a bad set of crib notes on the Old and New Testaments, written by a man with no understanding of how the whole picture fits together. If you take the plot points out of a Michael Bay movie, all you have left is a bunch of explosions. Remove the father’s angst from The Patriot, and you have the story of a bloodthirsty sociopath. Remove from Scripture the antetypal covenant fulfillment of Jesus Christ, and you have the Quran. It’s the story of a moody tribal god, plagiarized and rewritten by an insipid mastermind who wanted to beat up all the kids who had picked on him. I’m glad they’ve done this, though. I’ve been meaning to do a thematic word comparison of Jane Austen’s, Pride and Prejudice, with the recent parody, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, published 200 years later. (Mind you, that’s less than half as many years as passed between the closure of the Greek Bible and when Muhammad hatched his scheme.) I’m willing to bet I’ll discover that the parody has many of the same words and themes, but somehow loses the original plot.
Perhaps it will serve you well to note that the bible was never even compiled during the time that Jesus (pbuh) was on this earth. In fact, it was compiled some 80 years later by men that weren’t even around when it was all happening to begin with. By the way, for the sake of argument, let’s assume that there is merit in what you’re saying, why then would it be so blatantly obvious that Muslims have greater respect for all the prophets including Jesus (pbuh) than even the followers of Jesus (pbuh) themselves? Why is it that Muslims are more focused on protecting the integrity of the scriptures by identifying the man-manipulated changes and making that clear, while Christians are bent on covering up all the errors for fear of ridicule? Why is it that the Quran talks more beautifully and decently about the miraculous conception of Jesus (pbuh) than even the bible does? Yet I’m to believe that Islam was a heretical distortion of Christianity? Christianity in its current state is a distortion of the true teachings of Jesus (pbuh). The sooner you realise that, the sooner you’ll be able to seek the real truth from the fabrications of the church. -

You’ve just gotta love that symbol of Diana, goddess of the Hunt towering over the Haram of Makkah. Muslims must really be proud of such colossal ignorance. But of course, at times like this, we’ll pretend it doesn’t matter because it’s intention that counts, right? And of course, if the Saudi’s do it, it must be right…after all, they’re the esteemed custodians of the two holy mosques, right?
May Allah protect me from such blasphemy, and such ignorance, and grant me the strength to continue to abstain from those places dedicated to His worship that have been defaced with this disgusting symbol of kufr! Aameen…Thumma Aameen…Ya Rabbul A’lameen!

What dreams may come…
It’s been a strange few days. I haven’t felt this disconnected in a while. Morbidly detached. Going through the motions. Knowing that all that I have on my plate will quite quickly dissipate into insignificance soon enough only to be replaced with a fresh set of challenges. I don’t really mind that at all. It feels like progress in some morbid way, knowing that I’ve overcome some challenges and realising that I will be faced with new ones soon enough.
The lull never lasts. It’s as if I’m destined to be challenged at every stage of my life, and the only thoughts that keep me sane is that I know I’ve overcome worse before, and I convince myself that every challenge that I overcome is a preparation for something greater. My education at the hands of life has been invaluable, and there’s not a single book, article, or class I could have taken at any point that would have prepared me in any way for what I’ve had to contend with so far.
No amount of study or reading would have prepared me for a life with a borderline violent psychotic, or the unexpected death of a loved one, or the estrangement of a child, or the harrowing helplessness of unemployment when I had loved ones that depended on me to take care of them. Nothing could prepare me for betrayal. Nothing could prepare me for life. The only thing I could do was ensure that I…never mind…this all seems pointless…reflecting like this…regurgitating the day’s insanity in the hope that I’ll be able to construct something meaningful out of the senselessness of so much. I can’t. Perhaps I just don’t want to right now. Perhaps I’m just hoping for an endearing response from a significant other that doesn’t exist…perhaps I’m just…
