An important book that is also a delightful read.

I’m not a big fan of the term self-help with it’s negative connotation of pop psychology and new age gobbledygook. Or more accurately I wasn’t until I had the good fortune of discovering Zaid Ismail and his first book, The Egosystem.

For this book is that rare thing, a genuine self help tool. It is filled with simple enlightening truisms that force one to assess one’s motives and behaviours in order to initiate meaningful change.

It is a book best read in small sections so the words and ideas have time to settle and penetrate the psyche. And then it should be re-read and the ideas disseminated to others so we can create a community of rational, introspective and forward thinking individuals.
