How absurd is this logic? The blatant flaw in this supposed argument is that it is based on the premise that God is only a concept and nothing more. But since neither side can produce physical evidence to support the existence of God (since if such physical evidence existed, faith would not be required) debating this either way is a pointless exercise.
The reality of this is simple. The atheist will die believing there is nothing beyond that moment. And the theist will die expecting to be laughing at the foolishness of the atheist when they awaken in the next life. So I guess if the atheists are right, life is pointless anyway, whether you believe in God or not, so who cares, because nothing happens after death. And if the theists are right, well…then…may God have mercy on the atheists, right? 🙂
